Are you ready to get in motion this May? We’d like to offer a friendly challenge to get you inspired- try an alternative to your car as a way to get to work, school, or play this month. Or if you already use alternative modes, get someone else to try one. Then share your story with us- the most inspirational story will win a $50 gift certificate to Bittercreek and runner-ups will be eligible for prizes as well!
Your story doesn’t have to be long, but you do have to let us to share it on our blog, www.treasurevalleyinmotion.org.
So give it a whirl- help improve our air quality, keep a few more dollars in your wallet, and get to know your community.
And for extra credit- May 21 is bike to work day, so lets see if we can get at least 100 people to bike to work- and to let us know on the blog, www.treasurevalleyinmotion.org. It’s easy- on May 21, just ride your bike in, then get online and respond to the day’s post saying “I did”- then watch as we count up to 100!

Attorney Richard Mollerup announces that the law firm Meuleman Mollerup, along with presenting partner Idaho Smart Growth, is sponsoring a free community event on Wednesday, May 12, 2010. Robert H. McNulty, President and CEO of Partners for Livable Communities will present, "The Economics of Amenity and Public Art Strategies," a dynamic discussion of community cultural strategies as a major economic force. This public discussion will take place at the Boise Centre, from 5:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. on May 12, 2010.

Partners for Livable Communities is a national nonprofit organization working to restore and renew the communities we work and live in by promoting quality of life, economic development, and social equity. Robert McNulty formed Partners for Livable Places - now Partners for Livable Communities - in 1975, the first organization of its type in American history. Immediately prior to founding Partners, McNulty served as assistant director of the Architectural and Design program of the National Endowment for the Arts. Earlier, he was a research assistant to the director of the Smithsonian's National Museum of American History and an environmental advisor at the General Services Administration.
