Treasure Valley Futures - Guiding Themes

As part of the TVF project the partners identified four themes for evaluating growth and development patterns in the Treasure Valley based on strong shared values among communities. These building blocks of better communities can be categorized into one of four following themes:

1. SUSTAINABILITY - Big picture long-term affects of growth on the interrelated elements of economy, environment and social issues.
2. LIVABILITY - Near term or more immediate impacts of growth on quality of life.
3. ACCESSIBILITY - the ability to reach destinations, usually improved by relative proximity and by a variety of transportation options.
4. MOBILITY - improving travel time and cost through numerous travel options.
