Latah County Wildfire Workshop
Learn how to better prepare your community for wildfire.
Join Latah County as they spend a day assessing and reviewing how well the County is doing to be prepared in the event of a wildfire and what more they could do.
DATE: Tuesday, October 29th
TIME: 10 AM – 4 PM – lunch will be provided
LOCATION: Latah County Fair and Event Center, 1021 Harold ST, Moscow, ID
Latah County has been selected as one of six Idaho communities for a one-day workshop to:
- review and assess its level of wildfire preparedness
- identify strategies for improvement
Idaho Department of Lands, University of Idaho and Idaho Smart Growth are conducting these workshops to help all communities improve their wildfire preparedness. The growing threats of wildfire in areas of development are shared by all communities large and small.
While this day will focus on Latah County, the strategies for creating a resilient community are the same and we invite others to attend to learn and take back to their communities what they learned.
This project is funded in part by the Idaho Department of Lands in cooperation with the USDA Forest Service.
