Please join Idaho Smart Growth for coffee and breakfast with Anna Ura and Karen Bubb of Surel’s Place, the 2015 Grow Smart Award winner for Mixed Use.

Surel’s Place, founded in 2012, is a nonprofit artist-in-residence program in Garden City. It aims to support local, national, and international artists by offering them the time, space, and shelter necessary to focus on their work. Surel’s Place shares that work with the public through free events including exhibits, classes, workshops, readings, lectures, and performances for people of all ages.

Karen is a co-founder of Surel’s Place as well as president of the board of directors and Anna is managing director. They’ll be on hand to speak about the nonprofit, what it has meant to the community of Garden City, and their recent Grow Smart Award.
