The Question:

The above picture shows a delivery truck with four-way flashers on stopped in the middle of the bike lane. Is it legal for a delivery truck to temporarily park in a bike lane to deliver a package?

The Answer: MAYBE

There is no state statute prohibiting a delivery truck from parking in a bike lane to make a delivery. However, city ordinances may differ.

This answer is based on Idaho state code 49-208 (1)(a).
