The Question:

The above picture shows a bicyclist preparing to make a left turn on a five-lane highway. Is it permissible for her to move from the far right side of the road and cut across multiple lanes of traffic?

The Answer: YES

A bicyclist has the same rights (and duties) as a motorists to move from the far right side of the roadway to the designated left turn lane.

This answer is based onĀ Idaho state code 49-714 (1), 49-717 (1)(b)(c), 49-644 (2).
