The Question:

The above picture shows a person biking down a 2 lane roadway. If the person biking is traveling at the speed of traffic are they still required to use the far right side of the roadway?

The Answer: No

A bicyclist is not required to use the far right side of a roadway if they are traveling with the flow of traffic. The assumption behind the law insisting bicyclists travel on the far right side of the roadway is that they won’t be traveling at the speed of traffic. If they are, the law is irrelevant.

This answer is based on Idaho state code 49-717. (1)(a)(b)(c)
