Welcome new staff!
Join us in welcoming the newest members of our team,
Anna Marie Young and Alexa Roitman.
Anna Marie Young joins ISG as our new program associate. She is a graduate of UC Davis with a degree in Community and Regional Development, with an emphasis in Land Use and Transportation Planning and Policy. Her courses abroad included “Landscape Architecture and Public Space” in Norway and “Transportation Planning” in Germany. During her senior year she worked for WALKSacramento, a pedestrian advocacy organization, and took a large part in developing a Pedestrian, Bicycle, and Transit Access plan for the four community colleges in Sacramento. After winning a Women-in-Transportation scholarship (and singing a song at the awards ceremony), she was offered an internship with the California Transportation Commission. After graduating, she worked for the California Governor’s Office of Planning and Research and served as the assistant to the chair of the California Strategic Growth Council. Most recently, Anna Marie was working with the city of Emmett. Anna Marie is excited to continue her planning and advocacy work here, in her home state of Idaho! She believes “The Best Way to Predict the Future is to Create it” . . . BY DESIGN.
Alexa Roitman joins ISG as our summer intern. She is going into her final year at Boise State University. She is graduating in Urban Studies and Community Development. Born and raised in New York City, Alexa found herself loving the open spaces of the Pacific Northwest. While attending school in Boise, she has reestablished her love of city living and is hoping to help create more equitable and sustainable growth in fast-expanding cities. She connected with ISG to bring variety to her urban planning toolkit.
