The 2018 Citizens Planning Academy (CPA) continues with its third session of the year on July 11. Joining us from City of Boise, Melinda McGoldrick will present on the city’s Energize Our Neighborhoods program.
Melinda McGoldrick has been with the city of Boise since 2015 and is the program manager for Energize Our Neighborhoods. With a background in community-based education and program development in the non-profit and public sectors, she leads the Engergize team’s operations, communications, and long-term program development. She also facilitates the work of the Energize Strategic Leadership team to support and finance neighborhood livability projects and administers the city of Boise’s Neighborhood Investment Program. Melinda believes that developing relationships and leveraging community based assets is the best way to promote the involvement and commitment that brings about positive change. She holds a master’s degree in public administration from Portland State Univerity and a bachelor’s degree in government from the University of Redlands.
The CPA is a collaborative project of Idaho Smart Growth and the University of Idaho College of Law and Bioregional Planning Program. The monthly series is designed to help citizens become effective advocates on a wide range of planning topics. All sessions are free and open to everyone.
