Elizabeth Allen returns to Idaho Smart Growth as a program assistant in September 2020 where she will work with senior staff on transportation-choices programs and other projects.

Elizabeth previously served as a planner for the city of Hayden in north Idaho, administering a variety of land-use issues and contributing to reports, ordinances and comprehensive planning. Prior to that she worked with Idaho Smart Growth assisting Idaho communities with education on wildfire planning. Her other work experience includes transportation agency planning in Boise and as an archaeologist throughout Nevada.

Elizabeth holds a Master of Bioregional Planning and Community Design from the University of Idaho and a B.A. in anthropology from the University of Nevada, Reno. She serves as a board member for the Idaho Chapter of the American Planning Association.
