Explore Ways to Make Your Community Better Prepared in the Event of Wildfire

Want to learn more about how to better prepare your community for wildfire?

Join us as we spend a day examining how well one property owners association is doing and what more they could do.

DATE: Saturday, June 29th

TIME: 10 AM – 4 PM – lunch will be provided

LOCATION: Ola Community Center, 22001 Sweet Ola Highway, Ola

Wilderness Lake Ranch in High Valley has been selected as one of six Idaho communities for a one-day workshop to:

  • review and assess this community’s level of wildfire preparedness
  • identify strategies for improvement

Idaho Department of Lands, University of Idaho and Idaho Smart Growth are conducting these workshops to help all communities improve their wildfire preparedness. The growing threat of wildfire in areas of development are shared by all communities large and small.

While this day will focus on Wilderness Lake Ranch the strategies for creating a resilient community are the same and we invite others to attend to learn what they can do in their own communities.

This project is funded in part by the Idaho Department of Lands in cooperation with the USDA Forest Service. In accordance with Federal law and U.S. Department of Agriculture policy, this institution is prohibited from discriminating on the basis of race, color, national origin, sex, age, or disability.
